On Friday, the weather cleared out beautifully, and some of us went on a hike down what is called Grand Wash in Capitol Reef. It is a hike of about 1 mile which is fairly level and includes some beautiful scenery.
Along the way you sometimes find neat little cairns or rock art left behind by fellow hikers. These usually last until the next flash flood come along. Thankfully we didn't experience any of those.
Some of the designs in the rock walls are beautiful tapestries.
A large cottonwood near the campground. Been there many years, I'm sure. If it were able to speak, I'm sure it could share some tales.
