"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Grave's Island

Sunday was moving day. We traveled to Grave's Island Provincial Park nearer Halifax,  and the famous Peggy's Cove. An Island of a 100 acres or so connected to the mainland by a short causeway.  Lots of typical Nova Scotia landscapes as we drove around on Monday.

Lobster, fisn n chips, and chowder are wonderful, but it was time for some comfort food. Pot roast, potatoes, and onions in the CacCooker.

Tuesday we traveled to Peggy's Cove.  Not a large a place as I imagined. Stopped at two memorials for a Swiss Air flight that crashed in the area back in 1999.

Other photos of Peggy's Cove.

Yesterday was laundry day which took up most of the morning. Then went for a ride on the ebike back into town on a nice rail trail. Found a museum to the Oak Island treasure legend. I read about it as a kid back in the sixties. Never imagined I would be camped within just a fw miles of it one day. Now it's famous as a TV reality show.  Stained glass pictures are windows in the old depot. Thought they were cool to see in a railroad depot.

That's it for this post. Moving day, again...jc
