If you have followed this blog for a while, you know we attend a gathering in Alabama each Spring called the Green Eggs and Ham Gathering. I guess you could say we are plank owners, as we were part of the original fifteen way back in 2011, and haven’t missed a one.
We departed home on Sunday afternoon and stopped on the Tennessee-Tombigbee waterway for the evening. Really enjoy spending a night there and watching the towboats. Shots from our site.
Two other Casitas were in the campground when we arrived. They were also on their way to the gathering. We enjoyed a beautiful Monday morning, befor moving on to Gunter Hill campground near Montgomery.
I think there were an even 100 trailers this year in two adjoining campgrounds.
We spent a week catching up with old friends and making new ones. Lots of this.
And this.
The pine pollen was flying,
and some fought it,
while others thought, so what?
We had some characters.
And lots of music every night.
Another good week on the road, made better with lots of friends.
That’s the way it should be…….jc
Glad to see that your are back on the road and Enjoying life the way you should with other like-minded Casita Owners.
ReplyDeleteBe safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Gorgeous light along the river. Haven't seen tugboats since boating on the IL R as a kid. Those look like huge camp sites, or is just because the eggs are small. ;) Fun times.
