After three weeks back at home, we were ready for another road trip. It was time for the annual Green Eggs and Ham Fiberglass RV Rally in Alabama.
What started as a very small gathering of friends back in 2011, it has grown to be one of the largest fiberglass rallys in the Country. The attendance this year was 115 trailers and over 200 attendees.
A few random shots around the campground.
Proud new Escape owners.
Checking out the neighbors trailer.
With a name such as Green Eggs and Ham Rally, and occuring around Saint Patricks Day, you know there just has to be some leprechauns around.
Oh, and there was food. First was the gumbo. Twenty gallons of chicken and sausage gumbo. Prepared by the Gumbo Kings and Queens.
And a pot luck on Saturday. Lots of food.
We had a great week, visiting with old friends and making some new ones. We have attended every year, and though the rally is much larger than originally planned, it is still a fun event. We hope to attend many more.
We arrived back home to find most of our azaleas in bloom. Lots of reds, pinks, and purples. For whatever reason, the white haven’t bloomed yet.
Now it’s time to get to work cleaning up the yard, and getting ready for Summer….jc
I always miss the south this time of year--nothing is blooming either here in southeast Arizona or in Montana! Trees are just barely starting to leaf in Arizona--at least in our part.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gathering that's become...I think I'm smelling that Gumbo. :)). Those azaleas are looking terrific...again. I'm still in a holding pattern...oh well. Take care my Friend...Horst sends
ReplyDeleteBeautiful azaleas. Need for color this time of the year. As usual, fun pictures. The trailer in the first picture looks like it is doing 60mph just standing still.
ReplyDeleteSent from H-loop in Gilbert Ray Campground.
