Maligne Canyon

Just a few miles from Jasper is another great hike.  Maligne Canyon is basically a slot canyon carved by rushing water through Karst, or soft porous rock.  At the beginning of the canyon it is so deep that you can only hear the rushing water below, but not see it.  Following are some pictures i took on the hike.  They may be in order, or not; and there may be some duplications as I’m doing this while I have wifi.  Enjoy.

Additional water is added from caves along the way.

It is possible that this will be the last blog for a while.  The battery in my laptop is acting up, and finding a replacement battery isn’t an option.  And I’m not looking forward to setting up a new computer while on this trip.  Wish me luck….jc
