"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Road Warriors (or road weary)

Two hard days of driving finds us at Blue Mountain RV park in Blanding, UT. We departed Tyler, TX at daybreak Sunday morning and arrived in Amarillo, TX around 2 PM. Decided to make it a short day, so checked into Amarilllo Ranch RV park and made plans for a steak dinner at the The Big Texan.  Had a great meal, but unfortunately, no pics.
Left Amarillo early this morning with Farmington, NM as our destination, but after arriving there around 2 PM also, we decided to keep traveling. Arrived in Blanding close to 5 PM mountain time. 12 hours driving, but it puts us only about 4 hrs from our ultimate destination of Capitol Reef for tomorrow.
The weather forecast doesn't look too favorable for the next few days. Rain, mixed with snow! We didn't come prepared for that. The last two years it has been shorts and tee shirt weather. Went shopping this afternoon for some warmer clothes.
Not sure when we'll post again as internet service may be hard to find, but we'll do our best to keep updates fairly current.
