After getting everything squared away in the campground we took a short walk over to the Gulf. The water was clear and clean as usual, and the beach was beautiful with hardly anyone around.
Even though we are across the bay from the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, you have to imagine our surprise on Tuesday morning to hear the National Anthem being played at 8 AM. It carries across the water very well and we heard it again this morning. Another surprise this morning were these guys.
The Blue Angels were apparently doing a little practice this morning and they were flying all around the campground. It was hard to get decent pictures with my camera as by the time I found them in the viewfinder and got focused, they were GONE. Really enjoyed the show. Hopefully, they will be doing it again tomorrow. That’s all for today. Will post more later in the week. Pretty sunset tonight.....jc
That is a beautiful part of the country. We have spent quite a bit if time in that area.
ReplyDeleteSo nice of the Blue Angels to give you all a show!! :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!! We love that area too. We spent winter of 2010 in Gulf Shores.
