"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Did I mention BBQ?

One of the things I had to do before we left the state today was be a judge in a local BBQ contest.  I made the commitment months ago, not knowing it would delay our departure.  As you can see from the pic's, it is a really dreadful thing to have to participate in.  After participating in the judging of 16 rounds of chicken, ribs, and brisket, we got away around 1:30 PM.  Made it to the Texas Rose RV park near Tyler, TX for the night.  Another long day tomorrow as we hope to make it to Amarillo in time to check out the Big Texan Steak House.
