"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Moving to Maine

It was still cloudy and cool as we departed St. Johnsbury, VT on Sunday morning.  Drizzle followed us into New Hampshire, but we could see a clearing line to the South of Hwy 2 as we traveled East.  As we passed a sign for Mount Washington I took the turn.  After a couple of miles the blue sky appeared.

The Pikes Peak of the East, I suppose.  Would have loved to have driven to the top, but without the Casita.  The only cloud in the sky had the summit obscured.

Back on Hwy 2, We saw a sign for another covered bridge. Turned around and traveled down a narrow country road for a couple miles, to find this.

  5. We have family in NH and MA so we get out there at least once a year. Haven't been a leaf peeper yet, but I hear the fall colors are beautiful. Love the covered bridges.
