We moved to the northern side of Halifax on Thursday. Our site at Porter's Lake provencial park was much like an rv park. Close together, with no privacy. That worked out well though, as we met many locals which provided lots of information on what to do, and how to get there. On Friday we took the harbor ferry from Woodside to the Halifax waterfront. Toured the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and walked the boardwalk. So many ship models and real sailing vessels in the museum. Most models were six to eight feet long, and the detail was fantastic. Lots of pictures, but probably not in order.
Saturday, while riding around we found some surfers and a bike trail. Who would have thought folks would surf in Nova Scotia. After watching the surfing for a while, John and I loaded the ebikes and did 10 miles on the trail.
Today's moving day. Headed toward Sydney, and Mira River Provincial Park. Till next time....jc
