"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Whale Watching

Another thing we did in Trinity was to take a whale watching tour. It was a spur of the moment thing. We saw a sign while walking the town on a Saturday Morning. A Kodiak inflatable boat with about 15 passenger's. Being the oldest by far on our boat, we got the prime seat(s) behind the Captain. He let us stand while the others in front hadcto stay seated.😀  Not the best photos, as they all are cell phone, but come along.

It was a great trip. So glad we did it...jc

Skerwink Trail

The communities of Trinity/East Trinity are home to the Skerwink Trail.  A 3.5 mile trail along the seacoast with what called some of the most beautiful views in North America. Come along as I hike it.

Dead Capelin washed up on the beach. The small fish spawn on the beach, and many don't make it back to the water.

Spouting whale. They were numerous, feeding on the Capelin.

After such a grueling hike, refreshment was needed. Wanda picked me up at the trail head and we headed for Port Rexton Brewing. Home of the best grilled cheese sandwiches, with a side of awesome poutine, that we've ever had.

The beer wasn't bad, either...jc

Bonavista Peninsula

Our original plans called for us to move on to Butter Pot Provincial Park near St John, but Wanda and I did otherwise. We had seen so many wonderful places, things, etc up on the Bonavista Peninsula that we changed our plans. It would have been great to experience both Bonavista and St John, but we didn't have the time. We talked it over with John Dave, but he decided to go on to Butter Pot. We cancelled our reservation there and booked four nights in Lockston Path Provincial Park near the seaside town of Trinity. A small historical fishing village.
