"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Our travels

Since retiring in 2008 we have made four extended trips of a month to 6 weeks each, as well as numerous shorter journey's. We have traveled from Big Bend to Banff,  and as far West as  Zion and Glacier.  We have spent parts of September in Yellowstone in both 2008 and 2010.  We have traveled to and through the UP of Michigan, and toured Hwy 2 from Michigan to Montana.
The majority of our travels have been in the Western part of the country.  I guess it comes from living in the deep South, but we love the mountains.  There is nothing we like more than the red rock of Utah, or the mountains of Yellowstone and the Teton's.  The Canadian rockies were fantastic but we still like Rocky Mountain NP the best.
There is just so much to see and enjoy in this country of ours.  As a click on the map will show, we have spent the night in many places since we began.  Hopefully, we will continue to add stops to the Google Map as time goes by.  I would love to have it appear as just a big yellow blob one day.................jc
