Comb Wash/Moki

We had a really nice site in Comb Wash.  A hundred or so yards in from the highway, and a stunning view of Comb Ridge out the side window.  We even had a little sun late one afternoon.

Sally enjoyed it as we could take her down the wash a ways, and let her run loose.

Had quite a bit or rain North or East of us.  When we arrived this wash was dry, and Sally and I hiked it for quite some distance.  The next morning it was flowing well and was still flowing the next morning before we departed.

The overall weather wasn’t bad, but could have been better.  Most all the pictures I took turned out bad.  Cloudy, overcast, with spits of rain.  We mostly drove around viewing things we have visited before like Natural Bridges NM, and the Moki Dugway.

View from the top of the Moki, looking down on the Valley of the Gods and the Goosenecks of the San Juan River.

Thursday found us on the move again.  Heading toward Capitol Reef NP……jc
