"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime"-MARK TWAIN

Notre Dame Provencial Park

Once we left Gros Morne, we traveled to Notre Dame Provencial Park, which put us in the area of Twillingate, Fogo Island, and Gander. We took the ferry to Fogo Island for a day, hoping to spot an iceberg or two. We did spot a large one  well out to sea from the ferry, but that was it. It was a rainy day with very few folks out and about. We talked with a few locals, Wanda purchased some souvenirs, and I took a few pictures.

Fogo Island Inn.  An ugly place, but the rates weren't cheap.

After catching the ferry back to the mainland, we decided to go on to Twillingate.  There we met John Dave, had a late lunch/early Supper,(lupper), and got word of a small iceberg in the harbor. It wasn't much, but it was an iceberg.

A few more from Fogo Island.

Next up, Gander.
